small batch IPA series launch this summer
Back in our home-brewing days in 2011, we became particularly inspired by a new hop called Nelson Sauvin, and wanted to make our first hop-forward beer.
We were searching for something more than the malty, bitter IPAs of the time so we went with all pale barley and wheat, and used Nelson and Galaxy only in whirlpool and dry hop. That ended up being our most commonly brewed home-brew beer, but we’ve never done it (or any other beer with Nelson) at Orpheus.
We’re finally revisiting this combo for the first edition of Lustral, a new small-batch IPA program that will allow us to explore all the unique recipes we’ve been planning while keeping things fresh for you. These cans will only be available in our Tasting Room, so you’ll have to come visit to try each new batch in the series.

Each can will have a printed code of hops, ABV, and the canning date included on the bottom. First batch coming soon!
