2016: A Look Back

Don’t look back.

It’s way better to look ahead at some of what’s coming in 2017!

Year-round lineup changes
Our Dry-hopped Sour Ale, Serpent Bite, will be year-round as of February 1. We’ll let that sink in a bit before we tell you some other big changes. We think that you’ll be as excited as we are for what’s coming.

Packaging our favorites
We’re packaging some of our favorites from 2016 for the first time. Our immensely hopped Double IPA, Truth.Body.Soul., debuted at our Year Two anniversary. It goes into cans next week, while Maenads Tripel, a Belgian inspired ale brewed with a native wild yeast, goes into bottles next week. We recently added a massive amount of vanilla beans to Abandon All Hope, our 13.9% ABV Imperial Stout aged in bourbon barrels, which will be bottled shortly. Our year-round Barrel-aged Wild Ale, Noise and Flesh, will also be bottled soon. Look for all of these beers in the first two months of 2017. We’re also excited for the return of The 12th Labor, which after spending approximately 16 months in barrels will make its first appearance in two years.

More cans!
In addition to canning Truth.Body.Soul. occasionally, Wandering Blues, Sykophantes, and The Ferryman are all moving from bombers to cans. The only beers we’ll be putting into bottles will be very limited releases like Maenads Tripel and our barrel-aged beers.

Music
We’re sponsoring a contemporary music series at the brewery starting in February. The series, Don’t Look Back: Beyond the Zero, will feature the critically acclaimed Chamber Cartel in a percussive, engaging exploration of modern music set in our tasting room. More details here.

New beers
Most of our planned new beers will come from our barrels. We’re especially excited about a series of fruited wild beers.

In sum, 2017 will continue like years past: looking forward, making the beer we want to drink, and always striving to make every batch better than the last.

Cheers!
